Renowned in the fashion industry Jan has worked for a wide range of magazines such as the Paris, German, Dutch and American editions of Vogue, French and British Elle, Italian Marie Claire and Vanity Fair to mention a few.

Advertising clients include Lanvin, Dior, Balenciaga, Nike, Chaumet, Goop, Woolford, H&M, Princesse TamTam, Jil Sander Fragrance, Lancel, Mango, Eres, L’Oreal Paris, Garnier, Vichy, Printemps and Bloomingdales.

Jan has photographed many celebrities such as Keira Knightley, Cate Blanchett, Helen Mirren, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Kristen Stewart, Jennifer Lawrence, Tilda Swinton, Sienna Miller, Vanessa Paradis, Marion Cotillard, Lou Doillon, Drew Barrymore, Courtney Love, PJ Harvey, Nick Cave, Kylie Minogue, John Galliano, Marc Jocobs, Giorgio Armani, Jean Paul Gaulthier and plenty more.

In 2019 he published his first book with Damiani called “Profile”, a personal selection of his work from the early 90’s to now.
